Book a float Walk through your hour

Your first float, start to finish.

Our team takes you through everything and answers any questions before you start. The room is yours alone.

  1. Two guests walk in through the front door towards reception.

    1Arrive

We meet you at reception, show you to your float room and give you ear plugs.

  2. A guest under the rain shower in a white tiled float room.

    2Shower

A lukewarm shower in your own en-suite. Everyone showers before floating.

  3. A guest in a swimsuit opens the lid of the float pod, ready to step in.

    3Float

Lie back with your head towards the door, and let the water hold you.

You can't sink. You can't roll over. You can fall asleep.

More than 450 kg of medical grade Epsom salt is dissolved in every tank, so the water holds you up for the whole hour. Falling asleep is completely safe.

Your hour, minute by minute.

Pick a real open session, then drag through it. The page goes quiet when your float does.

What people ask first.

What if I'm claustrophobic?

The tank is 8 ft 6 in long and 5 ft 6 in wide, with plenty of room to move. You control the lid and the light. People who worry about claustrophobia usually leave the lid open on their first float, and find it fine.

What should I wear?

Some people wear a swimsuit or shorts, others wear nothing so they aren't distracted by clothing. Lots of people wear a swimsuit the first time. Your float room is private, so it's up to you.

Can I fall asleep?

Yes, it's completely safe. The salt solution is so dense that it's very hard to roll over, and you always stay buoyant.

Can I float while pregnant?

From the second trimester it is safe to float, and it can relieve a lot of the aches and pains of pregnancy. Floating isn't permitted in the first trimester. If you have any concerns, ask your doctor first.

How clean is the tank?

A filtration system runs after every session, and all the water passes through an ultraviolet sterilisation system. The salt concentration is so high that no living microorganism can survive in it. A shower before floating is mandatory.

How do I know when it's over?

There are ten minutes of music at the start, then golden silence for forty-five minutes. In the last five minutes the music fades back in to ease you out.
